Weekend Video: Lions QB Drew Stanton does the Dougie

Athlete Dougie videos never get old. During the Detroit Lions Chicago Bears game, Lions QB Drew Stanton celebrated his first ever NFL touchdown by doing the Dougie in the end zone. Stanton got the start as Matthew Stafford still suffers from a shoulder injury. Too bad for Stafford, the Lions lost to the Bears, 24-20 and sly dance moves don’t count for fantasy points.

Peyton Hillis traded from Denver Broncos after hitting on coach’s wife

Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis is ninth in the NFL in rushing and has scored 11 touchdowns. Hillis breakout season is making many Denver Bronco’s fans kick themselves that the team traded him away this off season.

But it wasn’t the Browns lacked confidence in Hillis, rather he was traded after hitting on head coach Josh McDaniels’ wife.

NFL analyst Mark Schlereth told Denver’s 104.3 sports talk, Hills put the moves on Laura McDaniels soon after her husband became the head coach in 2009.

Unfortunately for McDaniels, players hitting on his wife is not the only thing he needs to worry about… the Broncos are 3-8!

On the bright side, it’s good to know that not even proffesional athletes are exempt from flirting with the boss’ wife.

Tom Brady the new spokesman for UGGs

Tom Brady is the new spokesman for UGGs.  Angel Martinez, the CEO of UGGs parent company Deckers Outdoor Corp made the announcement on CNBC’s Mad Money. Martinez told host Jim Cramer:

“We have decided that we needed to just get the word out there that it’s a brand for guys,“give guys permission to wear UGG. And who better to give guys permission to wear UGG than … Tom Brady.”

The New England Patriots quarterback and five-time Pro Bowler is already an UGG wearer, which first attracted Martinez to get Brady to endorse the steyotypical woman’s boot. “He’s the guy every guy I know wants to be,” Martinez said.

Opinions are mixed on whether Brady will be the Rosetta Stone to convience guys that UGGs are cool… when you are a two-time Super Bowl MVP and married to a Victoria Secret model you can get away with things the average guy cannot. What’s next… Tom Brady endorsing Herbal Essence shampoo for men?

Rex Ryan and Tom Brady both married to super models

NY Jets head coach Rex Ryan is known for his flamboyant personality and his coaching abilities (the Jets are currently tied for first place in the AFC East), but few would compare him to Tom Brady. But that is exactly what Ryan told reporters today at a press conference.

“I never realized how similar that I am to Tom Brady. I mean, the obvious physical appearance would be the first thing. The fact that he’s married to a supermodel? Hello?” Ryan said.

Of course, Brady is married to super model Gisele Bundchen Ryan’s wife of 23 years, Michelle Ryan posed for an ad for ShopNFL.com that is in the newest issue of InStyle Magazine.

“Yeah, I’m also married to a supermodel,” Ryan said. ” I just happened to turn the page of InStyle magazine, page 329, and I just realized that we are very similar in that way.”

The 300 plus lb. NFL coach told reporters he was reading InStyle to broaden his fashion horizons, “obviously, with the wardrobe that I have, I’m one of those kind of guys. I was just thumbing through there and just happened to notice that. Page 329.”

One similarity I am willing to bet Ryan and Brady do not have in common, is that Ryan wouldn’t leave his pregnant girlfriend… #TEAMRYAN
