Robert Cook, the man known to have never missed a Super Bowl missed Sunday’s Super Bowl XLV. Cook, who is a Wisconsin native and Green Bay Packers fan, was featured in the VISA commercial featuring the group who calls themselves the “Never Miss a Super Bowl Club.” The group has gone to 44 consecutive Super Bowls and have missed weddings, births and even passed up on adopting a child to go to the game. Cook is in the hospital for an undisclosed “illness”after being admitted last Thursday.
Three of the original five members, Donald Crisman, Larry Jacobson and Thomas Henschel, still went in Cook’s place. Since finding out about the “Never Miss a Super Bowl” club 14 years ago, the NFL has given the members tickets at voucher or face value price. Cook watched the Packers beat the Pittsburgh Steelers, 31-25, in his hospital room.
There is a new diva form the LA Lakers who is said to be joining the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hill, and it’s not Kobe Bryant. Though Bravo has not confirmed a second season, they are looking to add to their cast, with Jeanie Buss is rumored to be the front runner.
Buss is the executive vice president of business operations for the Lakers and the daughter of owner Jerry Buss. To add a jersey chaser twist, Buss is dating Lakers head coach Phil Jackson.
Guess A-Rod wasn’t ready for his closeup. Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez is said to be outraged he was shown being fed popcorn by his girlfriend and our July Jersey Chaser Cameron Diaz during the Super Bowl.
After Rodriguez was shown being “whipped” by his girlfriend to more than the 111 million people watching the game, the pinstripe slugger went “ballistic” and refused for Fox to show anymore shots of him and Diaz watching the game. Despite the live game with many celebrities in attendance, Rodriguez felt he was set up by the Fox camera crew…. this coming from a guy with a centaur portrait of him hanging in his house.
Jersey Chaser False Alarm: Although Aaron Rodgers led the Green Bay Packers to a Super Bowl victory and took home MVP honors, he and Jessica Szohr are not dating. The couple have been linked together since November, but according to Szohr’s rep, who told GossipCop.com, “They are not dating.” This raises questions as Szohr was spotted at a Milwaukee Bukcs game and in Philadelphia with Rodgers after the Packers beat the Philadelphia Eagles early in the playoffs. Either Rodgers called it quits or Szohr’s publicist is not doing a good job at linking her client to the No.1 bachelor in America. Sorry V looks like it’s back to Lonely Boy. Game on Chasers. XOXO
