Romney, Obama, Tebow? The NY Jets backup quarterback isn’t ruling it out, Tim Tebow alluded to a career in politics after football. Tebow told ESPN New York, “I haven’t ruled it out. Whatever avenue I feel like I can make a difference in, I’d love to do. I haven’t ruled out anything like that. It won’t be anytime soon in my future, but it’ll be something I’ll at least look at and consider one day.”
The outspoken Christian was rumored to be the surprise guest speaker for the GOP Convention and appeared in a controversial anti-abortion commercial airing during the 2012 Super Bowl. In a survey by Public Policy Polling, 27% of Republicans said Tebow was their favorite NFL quarterback, and apparently 1/4 of Republicans don’t play fantasy football!
Serial celebrity dater Mark Sanchez has been linked to veteran jersey chaser Eva Longoria. The New York Jets quarterback were spotted with the actress over the holiday weekend in and around New York City and neighboring Hoboken. In Touch Magazine reports Longoria even wore a blond wind to remain incognito.
The rumored romance comes just weeks after Longoria split with boyfriend-model Eduardo Cruz after two years. Longoria went through a public divorce with San Antonio Spurs Tony Parker when reports surface Parker cheated with teammate Brent Barry’s wife. The couple are taking things slow, a source tells In Touch, “It looks like they’re testing the waters.”
Tebowmania is taking over New York, and not even canines are safe. In an attempt to fully embrace his new team, Tim Tebow is changing his dog’s name to “Bronx.” Tebow got the Rodesian Ridgeback in 2010, during his rookie season with the Denver Broncos and named him ”Bronco” after the franchise. After acquiring Peyton Manning in the off season, the Denver Broncos traded Tebow for a four and sixth-round-draft-pick.
Today was the first day media was allowed into the Jet’s locker room, and Tebow is adjusting quite well to his new surrondings. The story was broke by NY Post Jets beat reporter Manish Mehta, who tweeted:“Tim Tebow will change his dog’s name from Bronco to Bronx. #nyj”
For Bronco/ Bronx’s sake, I hope the next team Tebow plays for has a “Bro” name attached to it.
New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie became more famous for not remembering the names of his 10 children than his plays on Sunday during the HBO reality series Hard Knocks. Despite his reality TV fame, Cromartie is blocking a reality show following the 8 woman he has fathered 10 of his children with.
The New York Post is reporting that the series would be based on Cromartie’s 8 mothers as they “trying to co-exist as a modern family.” The mothers live in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and New Jersey. Although a production company has already gotten approval from the majority of the mothers, the pro-bowler has been adament he wants no part of the series.
However, one mother Ryan Ross argues, “Our kids need to know who their siblings are. It’s bigger than our past with Antonio. It’s about our children.”
In 2010, Cromartie was criticized for struggling to remember the names of all of his children while HBO documented the Jets training camp in Hard Knocks. Cromartie who makes $8 million a year, 7 of the 8 baby mamas $3,500 a month in child support. Lucky for Cromartie, he can turn to teammate Tim Tebow for moral advice.
