Congratulations to Hilary Duff and her NHL husband Mike Comrie who announced Sunday they are pregnant with their first child. Duff announced the exciting news on her official blog saying on the couple’s one year wedding anniversary, “I can’t believe it has already been a year, time really flies when you’re having fun! We also want to share the exciting news that…… BABY MAKES THREE!!! We are extremely happy and ready to start this new chapter of our lives. Thanks to everyone for the continued love and support throughout the years!”
News came to a suprise to fans of the couple when in May Duff told Access Hollywood that her and Comrie would wait to start of family so she could release another album. But Comrie may just be playing Mr. Mom since he announced he would be taking a break from hockey after having hip surgery.
The 30-year old Canadian last played for the Pittsburgh Penguins but is now an unrestricted free agent. Duff, who is 23, and Comrie met when he played for the New York Rangers.
Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries are in a jersey chasing showdown over bride to be Kim Kardashian. Bush and Kardashian dated for 3 years before they had a nasty breakup last summer. Now, the reality star is engaged to NJ Nets Humphries after an eight-month courtship. The wedding is just over a week away, but if it is up to Bush there won’t be a wedding.
According to the new issue of Life & Style, Bush is trying to win Kardashian back. “He’s been sending text messages to Kim and leaving her voice mails, telling her she’s making a mistake and that he’s the one for her,” an insider reveals. “In the past, Kim was friendly to Reggie but now she’s stopped responding.”
Kardashian and Humphries are set to wed on August 20, and cameras will be rolling for a four hour two-part special on E! I think it’s safe to say, Reggie will not be at the wedding.
Hollywood A-listers Matt Damon, Toby Maguire and Leonardo Dicaprio are being accused of being involved in a high stakes illegal poker ring, and now the scandal has infiltrated the sports world. Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is being investigated by the MLB in connection with the gambling ring. Poker pro Dan Blizerian revealed how things quickly got out of hand during a Beverly Hills high stakes poker game, “I would estimate A-Rod lost, like, a few thousand dollars that night. After everything that happened, he paid-up and left.”
ESPN New York spoke to a source within the MLB who said, “We’re talking to people involved in the investigation and we’re taking this very seriously. Because he had been warned about this before, I would say a possible suspension would be very much in play.”
As if it were an episode out of the Hills or Laguna Beach, Kristin Cavallari posed in wedding dresses for Life & Style magazine just days before her Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler called off their engagement.
In the article on news stands now, Cavallari gushes, “I want a romantic, mystical wedding, with lots of flowers.” Cutler and Cavallari had picked a date and a venue for their July 2012 summer wedding. The couple had dated for 8 months before their April engagement. Trouble began because Cavallari was not willing to give up her TV career, and tension boiled over when she refused to fly back to Chicago after the July 21 photo shoot at the LA Mondrian Hotel.
According to a source, “Jay’s family was pushing Kristin to get pregnant immediately,” says the insider. “Kristin knows she’s too young for kids right now.”
While, Cavallari has remained bummed on the breakup with the exception of a few tweets, she did speak out against a report saying that she believe Cutler faked his now infamous NFC Championship knee injury. Cavallari blasted the gossip blog on Twitter, “I never said ANYTHING about jays knee injury. I’ve always backed him 100%. Stop trying to start s***. I knw he was seriously hurt.”
