Brett Favre passed on negoiating a settlmenet with Sterger

More developments in our Jersey Chaser of the Month meeting with NFL officials…. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, Jenn Sterger is cooperating with the NFL’s investigation on the Brett Favre sext messages because the legendary quarterback would not negotiate a settlement with her.

The inappropriate pictures and voice mails Favre allegedly sent Sterger back in 2008 were released by Deadspin.com over a month ago. Sterger refused to speak to the NFL in the hopes of reaching a financial settlement with Favre. However, despite reaching out to him, Favre’s reps did not return Sterger’s team’s phone calls. A settlement would have prevented Sterger from taking legal action and would have included a confidentiality agreement.

Sterger met with NFL officials yesterday, accompanied by her lawyers and manager. It was first thought that Sterger was not cooperating with the investigation because of her show The Daily Line on Versus, which is now canceled.

Though Sterger initially wanted a settlement,  when asked about the Tiger Woods scandal back in April, Sterger told the Ministry, “I feel like at some point these guys need to be sat down and told, ‘Look, you’re not invincible…. For every dumb girl that’s willing to lay down for you, at some point there’s going to be one smart enough to know what to do with that.”

Jenn Sterger meets with the NFL (finally)

Is it all over for Brett Favre? Jenn Sterger finally met with the NFL to answer the tough questions about the sexual harassments voice messages and sext messages Favre allegedly left her. Favre was questioned by the NFL back in October, but Sterger would not cooperate in the investigation, so it was left at a standstill. Sterger and her lawyer Phil Reese met with the NFL’s Secruity Cheif Milt Ahlerich. Reese told the NY Post, “We can confirm that a meeting took place with the NFL today and we cooperated fully by providing them with substantial materials in our possession. We now await the NFL’s decision.”

While Favre admitted to leaving the voicemails he admittedly denied sending naked text messages.

Last night in an interview on the NFL Network, Favre told former NFL coach Steve Mariucci he would not be playing in 2011…. we’ve heard that one before.

The missing link: Erin Andrews gives confirmation she is dating Aaron Rodgers?

Did Erin Andrews give confirmation she is dating Aaron Rodgers to TMZ, and did they not even realize it? Rumors the ESPN sideline reporter and Green Bay Packers quarterback are together started in the summer, but with little evidence it has flown under the radar.

Andrews attended last week’s celebration for the 200th episode of Dancing With The Stars. In a video that can be seen here, Andrews is seen leaving the after party at Boulevard 3 night club. A TMZ paparazzi asks her, “Brett Favre or Tarvaris Jackson?” Both are quarterbacks for the Minnesota Vikings, but Andrews’ response surprises everyone when she says, “Aaron Rodgers.”

The TMZ commentators do not catch Andrews’ subliminal message, and even joke she, “may or may not know anything about professional sports.”

Because I may be the only blogger to religiously watch both TMZ Live and Sports Center, I am confident in saying this video is the Rosetta Stone finally liking the two together.

Pictures from the after party of Andrews and her former dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy getting cozy sparked rumors the two were “again” dating… but as evidence shows in the TMZ video, Andrews clearly had Rodgers on her mind.

Keep chasing Erin, this could get you the nod for the Jersey Chaser of the Month for December!

Dallas Cowboys forget to renew dallascowboys.com website domain name #FAIL

The Dallas Cowboys forgot to renew the dallascowboys.com domain name. The team’s website went down on Sunday night just after the Cowboys suffered a 45-7 loss to the Green Bay packers.

The Cowboys, who were a Superbowl favorite at the start of the season, are currently 1-7 and fired head coach Wade Phillips on Monday. During football season, dallascowboys.com gets more than 1 million visitors a month, that is second among football sites only to NFL.com. But on Sunday, visitors could not visit the team’s site. Instead internet browsers were greeted with a landing page indicating the address was available for purchase from Network Solutions LLC.

While the issue was resolved and the site is back up, it just added more fuel to this season’s disastrous fire.
